Un moderno vehículo con sistema de refrigerado que les permitirá transportar hasta 1800 kilogramos de productos pesqueros recibieron este lunes los pescadores de la Cooperativa de caleta Los Vilos, gracias al programa impulsado por el programa Transferencia para el Desarrollo y Fomento de la Pesca Artesanal del Gobierno Regional de Coquimbo y el Indespa, organismo dependiente del Ministerio de Economía, Fomento y Turismo.
El vehículo representa recursos por 30 millones de pesos y fue financiado a través del concurso regional “Comercialización y Distribución”, que tuvo por objeto apoyar a las organizaciones con financiamiento para la comercialización directa de sus productos desde la caleta a destino final, mejorando también las condiciones de inocuidad en que los pescadores realizan el transporte de los recursos.
“Ha sido un gran logro tener este furgón (…)para complementar nuestra sala de venta y restorán. Nosotros tenemos recursos, pero necesitamos también ir a comprar, esto permite que los recursos se mantengan con su cadena de frío. Es un gran complemento a esta Cooperativa”, precisó Javier Tapia, vicepresidente de la Cooperativa de Pescadores de caleta San Pedro.
La entrega, en caleta Los Vilos, fue encabezada por el Seremi de Economía, Fomento y Turismo, Carlos Lillo, junto al Director Zonal de Pesca y Acuicultura, Juan Carlos Fritis y la Directora Regional de Sernapesca, Cecilia Solís.
Este proyecto se enmarca en el concurso regional 2020, financiado a través del convenio que impulsa el Gobierno Regional de Coquimbo y el Indespa – organismo dependiente del Ministerio de Economía, Fomento y Turismo- .
Mediante este tipo de iniciativas el Gobierno busca fortalecer la diversificación productiva y agregación de valor de la actividad pesquera artesanal en la región, con el fin de que las caletas puedan avanzar hacia la consolidación como polos de desarrollo de diversas actividades económicas asociadas a la actividad pesquera.
