Como parte de las acciones enfocadas a identificar y posicionar el sector artesanal en los territorios que comprenden Chile, el Comité Nacional de Artesanía -integrado por el Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio, a través de su área de Artesanía; y la Escuela de Diseño de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a través de su Programa de Artesanía, con el patrocinio de la Oficina Unesco de Santiago-, invita a creadores del país a postular al Sello de Excelencia a la Artesanía de Chile 2020.
En esta versión, para facilitar el trámite en el contexto de emergencia sanitaria, las postulaciones deberán enviarse en formato digital con fotografías de la obra a presentar, el formulario de postulación y los documentos solicitados en bases de concurso al correo electrónico artesania@cultura.gob.cl hasta el 9 de agosto, a las 17.00 horas de Chile continental.
El seremi de las Culturas de la Región de Coquimbo, Francisco Varas, invitó a la comunidad regional a sumarse a las postulaciones: “En nuestra región existe una gran cantidad de artesanas y artesanos, que con su trabajo aportan día a día al desarrollo de nuestra identidad cultural regional. Creemos que es sumamente necesario visibilizar su trabajo y entregarles la oportunidad de que accedan a este sello de excelencia, que viene a destacar la calidad de sus trabajos. Por eso, invitamos a todos a hacer sus postulaciones hasta el 9 de agosto”.
Desde 2008, el Sello de Excelencia a la Artesanía ha reconocido 139 piezas de artesanía, las que obtienen un certificado de promoción oficial que avala la calidad y autenticidad del producto. Los seleccionados serán postulados a la nueva versión del Reconocimiento de Excelencia Unesco para las artesanías de los países del Cono Sur, a realizarse el 2021.
Las postulaciones se recibirán de manera digital vía correo (artesania@cultura.gob.cl) hasta el 9 de agosto, de 09.00 a 17.00 horas.
