Ex-convento “El Buen Pastor” de La Serena revive sus días más oscuros a través del teatro

∙ La obra escrita por el dramaturgo regional Héctor Álvarez Godoy está basada en historias de la ex-cárcel de mujeres “El Buen Pastor” de La Serena.

Con la dirección de Juan Diego Bonilla “Siervas o prisioneras del buen pastor” cuenta la historia de Natalia y Elena, dos mujeres que luego de años de haber sido detenidas junto con su madre, logran entrar a la ex-cárcel de mujeres “El Buen Pastor” de La Serena. En ese lugar reconstruirán su historia de infancia como prisioneras y junto con sus memorias se irán desprendiendo diferentes historias y voces que vivieron ahí. La obra que está basada en vidas de personas que estuvieron detenidas o trabajaron en el lugar cuenta cómo es que hasta el día de hoy no se ha podido encontrar justicia al periodo vivido en ella.
El texto de la obra es el resultado de un proceso de investigación del dramaturgo coquimbano Héctor Álvarez Godoy sobre el Convento El Buen Pastor de La Serena, el cual funcionó desde 1973 hasta 1975 como cárcel de mujeres, las cuales fueron presas políticas durante la dictadura cívico-militar. Por otro lado la puesta en escena está a cargo del director teatral Juan Diego Bonilla quien al leer la obra se interesó mucho en este suceso que había ocurrido en la ciudad, siendo este montaje resultado del proceso de egreso de la cuarta generación de actrices/actores de la Escuela TeatroPuerto y que ahora se presentan en la Temporada de Verano de la misma institución.
El elenco compuesto por las actrices Constanza Becerra Órdenes, Yocelyn Chacana Zapata, Génesis Lagunas Molina, Karen Avilés Herrera, Ximena Marín Rojas y el actor Manuel Loyola Valencia se presentará el viernes 15, sábado 16, domingo 17 de enero a las 20:00 hrs. en Casona La Gaviota, Balmaceda #124, Barrio Almagro, La Serena.
Cabe destacar que Casona La Gaviota cuenta con todas las medidas sanitarias y el aforo será reducido (25 personas) como es solicitado por la autoridad sanitaria. De esta forma también las obras de la temporada serán anunciadas semana a semana teniendo en cuenta el cambio de fases que puede suceder durante enero en nuestra comuna.
